I’m Manoj C Mohan — a banker, reader, and film & music buff based in Kerala, India.
I’ve spent over a decade on the lending side of banking. It’s the kind of work that teaches you things no textbook quite prepares you for — how people make decisions under pressure, how institutions bend and sometimes break, and how money moves through the world in ways that are equal parts fascinating and alarming.
I live with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II — which means I navigate the world a little differently, but navigate it I do. I’ve been writing online in various forms for years, took a break, and decided to come back. This site is where I put things down: thoughts on banking and finance, films, books, current affairs, politics, and whatever else is rattling around in my head.
I value privacy — mine and others’. You won’t find many personal photos here, and I prefer to keep my family and friends out of it. What you will find is honest writing, some of it half-formed, all of it sincere.
Glad you stopped by.
